Meetings and Speakers

The primary object of the Probus Club of Ledbury is to enable members to meet socially and informally on a regular basis. We hold weekly Monday morning meetings, which provide a friendly and informal atmosphere for social contact, and at which a speaker delivers a talk on a subject of general interest to club members. Our talks generally last between 45 minutes to an hour, after which there is a lively question and answer session. Some talks are given by the members themselves, which enriches the range and scope of topics being discussed. A few of our talks are open to members' guests, as indicated in our programme. The emphasis is on providing an interesting, entertaining and sociable morning.

A typical Illustrated TalkOur meeting hall is equipped with modern facilities such as a Windows-based laptop and projector. Generally, unless you use a MAC, speakers need to bring a memory stick with PowerPoint or equivalent and we will do the rest.

MAC users will need to bring their device and a HDMI adaptor.

We also use radio mics for the speaker, and for audience participation during the active Q&A session that follows each talk.
